FDDI has worked with many different types of organizations, from private companies, banks, hospitals, and even municipalities. One example is a county in Texas that hired FDDI to design and install a wireless network to connect all of their government buildings in area towns.

This network provides data and VOIP for all of the county offices. The system consists of the AdaptLink Series radios using both 10mbit and 20mbit models. To limit the complexity of the radio network and the amount of towers required at each location a star pattern was used in the design of the network. The system has operated with minimum maintenance since the initial installation in 2003.
